WOW

Hi everybody, it's me again. I just wanted to inform you of my good day I had today.

As most everybody knows I have a little bit of a car obsession. I love driving, and so when I can't drive for 2 months, I sort of get a little grumpy and depressed. Especially when I catch a glimpse of my car sitting all alone in the corner of the driveway. Poor thing.

Well, today I got home from rehab after riding in a handicap transport van for the third time and thought, this isn't "cool", I want to drive. It has been 5 weeks so what would it hurt to ask? (they told me 6-8 weeks) I called the nurse practitioner, and she said to check with physical therapy. I called them and talk to 2 of the guys that have seen my progress. We all agreed that it was time to ease into it. (I think there was a little bit of sympathy there too. You know, a 'guy' thing)

In about 45 seconds, I was off the phone, down the stairs, in the car and on the road. I drove to the nearest Borders book store and bought...(surprise)... a couple of car magazines. AAHHH. I got my fix.

Then, when I got back to the house to meet the home infusion nurse, she informed me that the Doctor called her to have her take out my I.V. today. Complete surprise!

So needless to say, I'm a quite bit more free today.

Just thought I'd share.

Bye Bye.

Jerid

P.S. To add a big fat cherry on top of all of this, Jim (my host dad) knew that the idea of my car sitting under weeks and weeks of dirt, twigs and sap from the tree, was torturing me, he hand washed it on Sunday to surprise me. How-amazing-is-this-family?

That is awesome! Jerid is back in the driver's seat!
How cool of your host Dad to wash it for you. I've never met them, but I love them.

Hey-I'm glad Mizzz Daniels helped urge you to write us again. We missed you. I don't think you have to worry about getting adjusted at home. Marin is probably going to lock you and Annie in the house for a solid month anyways! She might even put a barricade around the house:-)

I love hearing about your progress. I miss you and love you bunches.

Hi Jerid. Sounds like an awesome day. That was nice of Jim to wash your car and have it all pretty. It's nice to have these blogs to keep up on things. Uncle John has been wanting to call you but he's afraid he'll catch you on a not so good day. Right now I've got him painting the kitchen so I guess I should get in there and help. We'll be checking in again tomorrow. We check everyday. Sending our love.

Hugs and Kisses

P.S Please tell Jim and Page
