Everything is going well here. Not much more to tell... which is good. The weekend was a long one. I think that Jerid and I felt very isolated not really being able to go anywhere. But we made the most of it. Watched movies, ate yummy food, sat outside (when it wasn't insanely hot!) and read.
At night we take walks around the block, going a little farther each time. Jerid doesn't get nearly as out of breath and recovers quickly. Mostly he just gets really tired.
Yesterday we just needed to get out of the house so we went on an outing. We drove to New Jersey to get Jerid's favorite pizza. No one is ever in the restaurant so we even ate in. We were so excited. Jerid put jeans on and gelled his hair and I actually put makeup on and blow-dried my hair for the first time in many, many weeks. Now that was a big date.
Today we went to rehab and physical therapy. Jerid did great! He walked about a mile in a half hour and rode a bike for 15 minutes. His new tennies are getting a real workout.
For the last day or two, Jerid has been feeling congested and out of breath when he lays down. So while we were at the hospital, we called and the lung team told us to come down. They're not concerned after seeing his blood and x-ray results. However, just to be sure, he went for a CT scan today. Also, they saw on the x-ray that a little part of his left lung his collapsed. This is completely normal. He had a bronchoscopy scheduled on the 13th, but again, just to be safe, they're going to do it on Wednesday. That's why I like it at this hospital so much. They don't leave any stone unturned and are always going the extra mile just to be sure. It really makes you feel safe in their hands.
So, now that you know the latest, here's my request. Annie's babysitter, Tamara is going back to work during the day. We are so sad about this as she's the best babysitter in the world. But, this will be better for her and her family. So. That leaves me and Annie babysitterless. Help! I'm asking you all to ask everyone you know if they know of anyone that could sit. We need someone Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00am-5:30pm. Obviously, the closer to town the better, but I'm willing to drive that extra mile for someone good. As I'm sure you all know, little miss Annie is a really well-behaved little girl. I really appreciate you helping. If anyone has any ideas, please call me or email me directly. marinsmith77@gmail.com. I think that finding a babysitter is one of the hardest things I've been through as a parent. Thanks again and love to all!

Good morning Smith Family! I have been a little out of touch the past few days as I was out of town and didn't get a chance to check email much. Welcome, welcome back to real life Jerid. Normality suits you very well at this point and I am so happy you are reunited with your two favorite girls in the whole world. I love you and miss you very much.

I'm glad everything is going well. Sorry I haven't wrote in a while, but I been busy with Life! It's funny how that happens. I've been thinking of Jerid and will be glad to see him when he gets home. I can't express how relieved I am that he is doing so well!! I know there is some bumps in the road, but he keeps on truckin. Anyway, I will try to write sooner this time. Take Care!
