2-4-1 Special!!!

Wow, aren't you guys lucky. You all get 2 posts for the price of one today. (so read Marin's post below this one first to stay in order.)

Well, it's me. The skinny kid with the new parts. I'm doing good, but like my little lady said, there has been some speed bumps lately. All it boils down to with me is shortness of breath. It does get marginally better day by day, most of the time, so I'm not worried.

It seems silly but sometimes I gauge my progress on how well I can go up and down the stairs. Being that, when I came home that was one of the hardest things to do. So now I can get up and down the stairs about 80% full speed. I still get winded but that's expected. No biggie. So rehab is really paying off. Love that treadmill.

I'm really itchin' to be home but I sometimes wonder if I'll know how to merge back into society when I do come back. Sort of like a convict that gets released. They don't always know how to behave and act civil. So watch out. I DID get a tattoo, I'm 'working out', and learned how not have human contact for days at a time. UH-OH. One good thing though is, nobody here tried to make me their...'girlfriend'.

Well, I thank you all for still checking in on us and the blog. I also have to thank a couple people for making this particular post possible. First my fantastic aunt Sally. The sarcastic 'are your fingers broke??' comment. You're right aunt Sally, no excuse. :-D Second, the patient, teacher-like comment of Gail Daniels. '...we would all love to hear from you...I keep checking' After reading that, I said in my best mono-tone student-like voice, "Yezzz, mizzz Daniels..." Assignment completed.

Well, off to bed now and I'll try to make this more of a regular thing. Love to all of you guys.

Jerid

Jerid, let me ease you and Rinny's minds. I have got the home-coming party all planned and waiting to happen. Here's the scoop: THE PARADE: President Bush said he would be glad to be your parade-marshal. He and Laura will be in the first car( secret service in second car)... Santa and Mrs. Clause in a roller-power sleigh ... Michael Jackson next ... Rusty Wallace ... Macy's Snooppy Balloon ... Easter Bunny and Tooth-Fairy ... Oprah Winnfrey and Steadman ... Rachel Ray ... Ron Weasley, Hermine Granger and Harry Potter bringing up the rear on brooms.
The parade will start in Springfield at you'r house and go all the way to the Ohio Buckey Stadium.
That is where all the partying will take place. We will be entertained by AC-DC ...Michael Jackson(doing Thriller)... Motley Crew ... Presidet Bush will give his "Welcome Back Jerid ! Are You Ready for Iraq? The Warm Weather Will Do You Good" Speech ... Santa will speak a few words of what a good boy you have been ... Rusty will do some figure-eights in his car ... Oprah will surprise you with a all-paid trip around the world! (Oops! I wasn't supposed to let the cat out of the bag. Just act surprised.)... Bart and Homer will tell some dirty jokes about "kankles and grapefruit -size family jewels". Hermine will do some magic spells ... Ron and Harry some fancy broom-tricks and they all will tell the story of the event adding up to Voldermorts final demise.
And ... I am pleased to tell you that Rachel Ray has graciously agreed to cater the food. She is going to do " 30 minute Pizzas 100 Different Ways). How exciting and yumm-o is that?
Well, I hope you are as excited as I am. I'm still working on it ... you know, the last minute stuff.
I am considering more entertainment like Herman's Hermits, Dolly Parton, Meatloaf,The Army Marching Band,The Village People, ... and if you have any ideas that you would like to have perform, just e-mail me.
I love you all ... can't wait until October !
