Gotta love Jerid! He's funny even when he's all doped up!
I talked to Marin this morning and I have several updates.
At 11:00 today they are going to try to remove his breathing tube! He will be really glad to have that out and finally be able to talk and not write notes that are quite fun to decipher (like my brain's not working!)
Once they have the tube out and they think he's doing okay, they are going to try to get him moving. If all goes well, he might get to leave the ICU today or tomorrow. Of course, he would still be under close watch, but would maybe have a little more peace and quiet. They are dialing down his meds which might help him feel a little less foggy.
Rick, Rose, Annie and Marin have been staying in 10 Tower, which is attached to the hospital so they are only minutes from Jerid. They will be staying with Jerid's "foster parents," Paige & Jim after tonight or tomorrow night. If anyone wants their address, please let me know.
Marin said to not send anything (cards, flowers, etc.) until she let's us know that it's okay. Jerid definitely can not be around flowers or fruits right now. But, once he is in the room that he will be staying in at length she'll let us know a room number and we can all load them up. If you really want to send something now, you can send it to Paige & Jim's.
