These are the details that I know so far....
Marin, Annie, Rick and Rose all headed out for Philly at 1:15 Saturday morning. I talked to her at 10:30 on Saturday and they were just getting to the hospital. Needless to say, they were all without sleep! Jerid's "foster Dad" went with him to the hospital and indicated that they whisked him to surgery very quickly.
I talked to Marin that evening at 9:30 and learned that Jerid's surgery took 13 hours! They were allowed to see him and he made attempts to smile and write to them. Apparently, he doesn't quite enjoy the "garden hose" (his description) that is shoved down his throat. At that point, they were all headed out for some much needed sleep!
It sounded as though they were all in really good spirits. Who can blame them after this LONG journey! It's exciting to think of the life that waits for Jerid.
Love to all.
